For example, our old Moulinex salad spinner does a great job. It leaves clothing less wrinkled and does not stretch fabric as much as if we wrung the clothes to remove the excess water.
Art of the Home Tip – after hand-washing your clothes, place them in a large unused salad spinner without wringing them. Spin it several times (could take quite a few times but it’s worth it, your special garment will be grateful!). Empty the water each time. Finally, depending in the type of delicate garment, hang it (hosiery, panties, etc.) or lay flat to dry (cashmere, wool, etc.), and voilà!
How creative! I would have never thought to use a salad spinner to wring out my delicates. Thank you.
Pleasure Darlita. So delighted you found this tip useful. Thank you for your comment!
Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I have quite a bit of hand washables, I never can quite get them wrung out enough, especially if I’m hanging them, usually I don’t want to wring them to much! I appreciate this information SO much!
