Staying In? A Parisian Bistro Valentine’s Day Menu for 2

If you decided to stay in for Valentine’s day, we have a Parisian bistro style menu for you that is delicious but that is easy enough that you can fully enjoy each other’s company – that’s the point isn’t it?  The first step will be to put on some good music and who else to serenade lovers than Edith Piaf.  Or for a variety of love songs, tune in to the Art of Home Love Songs Top 50.  Now let’s talk about our Valentine’s Day Menu (Menu de la Saint Valentin).  This year we decided to give a touch of Parisian bistro but you can adapt as you wish depending on personal preferences.  The entrée (starter) is meant to be casual.  In fact, we’ll serve it in the salon (living room) so we can relax and cozy up too!  We’ll save the dining room for the main course and dessert.   The main course can be prepared together in about 20 minutes although we would recommend preparing the potatoes and the lettuce ahead.  Just use our tip to prevent your potatoes from turning black (this way all you will need to do is slice the potatoes and bake them).  The dessert can be made ahead also.  Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day to all Lovers - Joyeuse  Fête de la Saint Valentin à tous les Amoureux!
