Canoë de Melon (Melon Canoe)

Ingredients (4 servings)
- 1 nicely ripe melon
- Toothpicks (optional)
- Cut melon in half and scoop out seeds.
- Cut each half in half to get four 1/4 melons. With a knife, slide blade under the melon flesh to separate the flesh from the melon rind (the melon outer shell). Leave the flesh on the ring.
- Make about half an inch slices on each wedge and slightly pull each of them out in opposing directions.
- Serve on an dessert platter with fork or toothpicks (perfect if serving for an appetizer).
