• Even a basic plastic pot looks charming on the window seal of a stone house (this is actually an old barn).  Consider adding rocks around your planter to add a rustic feel.

• And how about this make-shift planter?  So French country!

• Notice the geraniums planted in the green water can?  This is a great idea, especially if you can find a zinc water can.  Simply make a hole at the bottom of the can so the water can drain out and you just improvised a lovely French country planter!
