Scene of a woman hanging laundry on a sunny day with her child watching. It was painted by Danish impressionist Camille Pissaro (10 July 1830 – 13 November 1903). The original painting is currently displayed at the Orsay Museum in Paris (Art of the Home’s favorite museum in Paris!).

My mother had a wringer washer when I was a child, two tubs of rinse water, one with bluing for the whites. Bleach and soap smells make me happy and a child again for a moment, on the back porch with my mama.
